SignsWatch Inside is designed so that understanding belongs to your information, not to your identity
Your data remains yours
SignsWatch Inside helps people and organisations organise, connect and understand their own information
It's designed to use only the Google Drive files created by, or explicitly authorised for, SignsWatch Inside
It is not designed to build advertising profiles, track people across services or turn personal identity into a product
Recognition without identity
An Inside Passkey lets Inside recognise a returning Explorer without asking for a username, email address or password
SignsWatch creates an opaque Continuity identity which is not derived from your name or email address
Your device keeps the private credential. SignsWatch stores only the public credential information required to recognise and verify your Passkey
Your device confirms it is you who has access
Face ID, Touch ID, a fingerprint, device PIN or other personal biometric information is handled by your device or operating system
SignsWatch does not receive, inspect or store that personal biometric data
Google controls access to your Drive
Your Inside Passkey and your Google account perform different jobs
The Passkey lets Inside recognise you. Google separately decides whether SignsWatch may create or use files in your Google Drive
SignsWatch Inside does not request Google profile or email scopes. It does not store your Google name or email address as part of your Inside application data
Google may show a permission screen when permission is first needed, or when an existing permission must be renewed
Narrow access by design
SignsWatch Inside requests the following Google OAuth permission:
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.file
This permission allows SignsWatch Inside to create, open and update only files that it created, or files that you explicitly authorised for use with it
It does not allow SignsWatch to browse or enumerate the rest of your Google Drive
What your Inside may contain
Your workbook may store information such as:
- Actions
- Places
- Workspaces
- Relationships
- Configuration
- Branding
- Dictionaries
The workbook remains in your Google Drive and under your ownership
The minimum needed to operate
SignsWatch may retain limited technical records needed to provide and secure the service, such as:
- An opaque Continuity identity
- Passkey public credential information
- Instance and workbook identifiers
- Access roles and capabilities
- Security, status and error records
These records are used to operate, protect and troubleshoot Inside, not to identify you for advertising or profiling
We do not sell your information
SignsWatch does not sell personal information or workbook contents
Information may be processed by service providers only where needed to operate or secure Inside, or disclosed where required by law
Your workbook always stays with you
Information in your Inside workbook remains in your Google Drive until you choose to move or delete it
Stopping use of SignsWatch Inside does not transfer ownership of that workbook to SignsWatch
Security is part of the architecture
Communication with SignsWatch Inside uses HTTPS
Passkeys are resistant to phishing and avoid reusable passwords. Google continues to control access to files held in Google Drive
No online service can promise absolute security, but SignsWatch is designed to minimise both the information collected and the access requested
You remain in control
- You may revoke SignsWatch Inside's Google access through your Google Account security settings
- You may delete your Inside workbook or its containing folder from Google Drive
- You may remove an Inside Passkey through your device, browser or password-manager settings
- You may stop using Inside without surrendering ownership of your workbook
We remember your Inside
We do not need to remember who you are
